About me - Christina Schneider

International artist awarded the Luxembourg Art Prize

Internationally recognized artist
legal assistant, psychological counsellor, Art- and Reikicoach

For me, art is more than just a form of expression – it is a path to inner reflection.

My work operates at the intersection of inner experience, symbolism, and visual transformation. Drawing upon personal processes of engaging with memory, identity, and psychological states, I develop visual worlds that navigate the space between figuration and abstraction.

Central motifs in my work include archetypal forms, cosmic spaces, and hybrid figures that serve as projection surfaces for inner states. Inspired by psychological concepts particularly the idea of collective and individual visual worlds - I explore how the invisible can be translated into visual structures.

I employ color and material in an intuitive and processoriented manner. Through layering, superimposition, and symbolic elements, I create pictorial spaces that resist definitive interpretation, instead opening up emotional and associative avenues of access.

My works are conceived as open systems: they offer no fixed meanings, but rather invite the viewer to project their own inner images and experiences onto them.
